Take the Doctor's advise with a Pinch of Salt
Half an hour earlier, he asked me about the pregnancy, and did we went to consult a gyne. Well, we did, went to Kuching Specialist Medical Center.
"Well, why did all of the people that I've spoken to, choose to use KSMC?"
Well, I don't know why the others choose them, but the Gyne was introduced by our family GP, hence we have the confidence in him.
".. please be careful about the diagnose and suggestions given by the docs, well, any docs to be exact, cause they may make things look more severe than it actually is. If possible, look for alternative or 2nd opinions before making any decisions. reason being that some doctors may have their own interests before yours."
I do think that it is a very good piece of advise. Considering that parents in this stages are really vulnerable, it does pay to be more attentive and be skeptical on things that may seems too good, and like wise, bad. Thanks again, Uncle Kia.
Week 7 - Fetal Development Diagram

Pregnancy sonogram; Obstetric ultrasonography; Obstetric sonogram; Ultrasound - pregnancy
A word that all parents nowadays understands all so very well. if you would like to know how it works, please read it here from howstuffswork.com on pregnancy ultrasound.
For me, its something that I have heard, seen and understood for all this while, but I must say, you'll need to see one for yourself, (to be more correct, to see one done on your wife and the wonderful picture of your little one) to really understand why it should be called "Ultra-happy-parent-that-saw-their-joy-on-the-most-wonderful-piece-of-gadget-by-scanning-and-reading-of-the-bounced-back-sound" *phew!*
However, Mummy kept the imagery printed by that wonderful machine, let me go n lease it from her so that i can show it here.. hahah

A New Beginning : Shopaholic Mum-to-Be
Hehe..I guess bad hobby die hard. Yeah..Yeah.. thats an excuse that I'm giving myself.. Keke! But its true.. somethings just can never change! Since discovering my pregnancy, I have stopped my own shopping urge, so much so that the hubby has somewhat worriedly asked me ..
Jee : You feel very-very uncomfortable with your pregnancy symtoms is it? *frown*
Me : Er, its kinda uncomfortable la. But why the funny question le? *scratch head*
Jee : Well, lately u've turn down my offer to drive u to your favourite boutique and Spring and etc etc.. just not like you leh? U feel ok o not? *double frown*
Me : Eee . . . . . .
But its too irresistible! After the discount, most of the RM20-ish rompers cost under RM20. And very cute also! They've got some imported brands(not that it matters lar) and its got good quality and are pretty! And not to mention, I have a soft spot for babies in Romper :P
And these.. simply CUTE ones.

You notices that there were not blues or pinks? Coz we wanted to shop neutrally for Jr. :) And who knows, if God willing. If a second child come along, he/she can used it too regardless of gender. ^_^
That all Folks, Till next round...! *Crossing Fingers* (lets just hope its not too frequent!) >.<
Week 7 - Surreal Realisation =)
But on a lighter note, I'll share the highlight of Week 7. This is what ParentingWeekly.com is saying about Jr.
Last Monday (4th Aug), I was miserably sick so Jee was worried n sent me to the KPJ (Lch Specialist Ctr@ Stutong) for a checkup. The gynae we used was highly recommended by our beloved family GP (frm Clinic Khaira) - Dr Philip Kho. We was a OK chap, albeit kinda 'kang cheong' in his speech and mannerism hehe.. gave us lots of advice and I walked away with a heaps of reading material, brochures, books and even 2 box of EnfaMama milk formula >.<" But the main souvenier was an Ultrasound of our Little One. I've leave the honour of sharing the 1st picture of our little one to the proud very Dad-to-Be. *^_^*
Its size of a bean..but from where I lay, it looks like a grain of Rice. Heheh..so tiny lor! And yet..the heart is beating..in a fluttering speed! That moment, its so surreal and I even told the Doc that :P
If I'm still in denial at that stage, the sound of the little heart beating fast and strong has affirmed and drove home the reality, "YES! We're gonna b parents!" ^__^
BTW, the scan reviews that the embryo is 6 weeks 5 days old. =)
Now thats simply .... WOW!

Dada & Diapers
Thanks to youtube.
Anyway, I have done this before, for my cousins, so its pretty ok for me, I think. We'll see about that. Haha. =)
"Syiok" & "Shock"
It was really something, to know that you are becoming a father, the feeling is just immense. However, soon after, the reality sets in and the Syiok becomes Shock (well, not in a bad way, so Honey, don't get me wrong).
So, there's all sort of stuffs to study, it's like I'd just enrolled onto a new course in Uni, and the exam is once every week! =) 40 exams for a full course to graduate as Daddy.
It's already week 5 when we found out about the pregnancy, so, 5 exams to be taken in one shot.
First of, to understand the anatomy of the pregnancy, the weeks, the terms, the trimester, the nutrition, the foods, the supplemental diets, the "Gu-Leng-Hun" for mums (literal translation : "Cow-Milk-Powder", basically formulated milk powder), the "pangtang-larang" (meaning custom & taboo practices), the gynecologist, the periodic checkups, the "Klinik Ibu & Anak", the scans & the untrasounds, the labor locality, the confinement month, the confinement month helper lady, the diapers, the baby formulated milk powder, all the "A"s in the world (DHA, EFA, AA, SA, GA..... my old uni mate whose a straight A student did not have so many "A"s too... I wonder do they have PGA or FIFA or even FIA, RIAA, PIA.. hahaha). Wait, there's more, still have to look into maternity wear, baby carrying sling (and yes, you'll see me walking in the Spring with my precious baby strap in front of me), the baby cot (which is a very good hands-me-down from my uncle, thanks uncle Kia),
Well, that's the feat ahead, but for now, let's focus.

Week 6! What will it Brings?
Hubby made Lunch. So Happy ^^
Time seems to moves in a crawling speed for the past 1 week. After worrying and planning (mentally), I've approached week 6 with jr. (we've decided not to scan for jr's gender so we shall dubbed the lil one Junior for these time being :D ).
No major symtoms thus far for me, other than constant hunger, constant need to urinate, tender breasts and heightened sense of smell with intense dislike of ciggie and vehicle fumes (+newly added to the list, belachan and heavy aroma of mangoes). Any slight detection of any one of these will have me chocking, feeling nauseous. I would then have to hurriedly remove myself from the source of it. If the conditions doesnt permits, I would then try to hold my breath for as long as I can. >.< ... Geez..
I joked to the husband that with such sensitive sense of smells, jr can explore to possiblity of a perfume maker or a gourmet chef whe he/she grows up..hahaha!
That reminds me of the cute Chef Remy in Ratatouille. Minus the high-risk Factors or course! O.o"

Week 6 is supposed to bring on the onset of morning sicknesses..I hope that it would not be too bad! Keeping hands cross.
And oh yeah..they says the lil one has heart beat now. :) I'm dying to find out. We've yet to decide on a gynae yet so no scan yet thus far. :)
Let hope this week whatever symtons this week bring, will b kind on me :P

Week 5 : OMG! It couldn't be True!
On that fateful day,my menses had been delayed for 10 days, which shouldn't be of any concern coz it'd happened in the past. But reacting to some hunch and Jee's anxiousness of my delayed 'aunt', I sneakily bought a Home Pregnancy test kit . (I pick the cheapest off the Guardian's Pharmacy shelf. Haha! :P)
The next morning, when the house is empty (I was sick thus had stay back at home) I woke up and grogilly grab the kit and read the instructions in my flu-ish daze.
Simple enough, It says :
1 line = Negative (you're SAFE)
2 line = Positive (you've hit JackPot!)
No line = Non-conclusive (go buy another kit and try ur luck again LOL)
So armed with the Kit, I tested myself. (Not expecting anything, but feeling curious about using with a Pregnancy Kit for the 1st time and wondering how that thing works.)
For those of you that have not used this particular kit before, here's how it works.
- Then white background will change color and the line will slowly appear in pink from left to right as your urine sample gets absorbed.
I was flabbergasted when the 2 bright red lines appeared and was in utter shock! In my disbelief I referred to the instruction again n again to make sure my understanding was not misleaded.. and even shake the kit to see if the result will shift.
But after pacing around in my room and mulling over what to do.. I decided to call the 'Dad' and request him to come home and send me to my GP (since I was sick with flu coincidentally) to get a sick leave for the day. I'd figure that the News will have to wait, it will be as much as a shock to him as it was to me. So I'd better wait till he's home safely and seated before I break the news to him. :P Who knows.. he might even Faint from shock! And I don't think I am capable of hauling my 100+Kg of a 'rhino-hubby' from the ground in my weak condition. >.< Lesson Learned : Never says NEVER! And 'accidents' do happened :P *sigh
But inspite of all that is said..prepared or not.. to Us~ this is our Blessing and Gift from heaven. And we shall treasure and nurture this precious bundle with all we have. ^.^
"The Eagle Has Delivered its Package"
"Honey I'm home" I said, as I entered my room. its 11 plus in the morning. I took an early off from the office to look at my beautiful wife. There she was, seated in front of the computer, with a warm grin on her face.
"How are you feeling, honey?"
"I'm alright, just flu-ish" she replied. "I have got something else to show you", stepping up from her seat, she reached out to a rectangular white box ontop of her dressing cabinet. She then showed me a plastic panel, with an inset in the middle. There, 2 clear red lines are visible.
I looked at her, nothing came out of my mouth. Like a rush of 1ooo horses' rampage in the wide open plains, an unexplainable surge of feeling raced up my spine.
It says, "Pregnant".
And Yes, we are going to be Parents.
Now, how wonderful is that! WOW! =)
As i have said it over a year ago, my days are numbered again!
